![]() ![]() Would you like to know what else we can look forward to in the near future? Check out ours Upcoming PC Games list. Returnal will follow Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, Sackboy: A Big Adventure and soon The Last of Us Part 1. It’s hard to say when we should expect a Returnal PC release – should the theories prove true – but considering this would be one of many PlayStation-exclusive titles to make the leap to PC recently done, we probably won’t have to wait too long. After that, the project continued to receive small behind-the-scenes updates from Steam over the next few months. This included expressions like “Atropos” (on which the planet Returnal is set), “Tower of Sisyphus” (the game’s DLC), and “Helios” (the ship of the main character Selene in the game). It was initially suspected that the roguelike would come to PC Back in May, when “Project Oregon” was first added to the Steam database, it contained a number of references to the game. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a particularly well-kept secret for Sony. Exactly what that means is still a mystery, but all signs point to a returnal PC port being announced soon. In fact, as recently as yesterday, history shows that “Returnal” was added, but the addition has been removed at the time of writing. So it's probably safe to say that Returnal will be coming to PC at some point, it's just a matter of Sony announcing the darned thing, if it decides to in our lifetime. The suspected returnal PC port has been all but confirmed in the Steam files after a recent update from Project Oregon.Īs sighted Reddit (opens in new tab), a game currently codenamed Project Oregon, believed to be a PC port of Sony’s exclusive game return – has been updated in Steam backend files (via SteamDB (opens in new tab)), so it now has the name “Returnal” in its history. This leak also included some screenshots of Sackboy: A Big Adventure running on PC, which was confirmed to be coming to PC later this month just this week.Īnd if you still need convincing, that "Oregon" game was later listed as being playable on Steam Deck, which is obviously all the rage amongst PC gamers at the moment. The updated entry now includes the information for Steam Deck indicating that Returnal might be Steam Deck verified at Launch. Then in June there was another leak that even included screenshots of Returnal running on PC. The SteamDB entry for Returnal PC has been updated again recently. A slightly more substantial leak later appeared in May of this year which showed a title called "Oregon" that sure sounds like Returnal based on the tags listed. Returnal coming to PC was first speculated last year in that big Nvidia leak, which keeps being proven as real with various reveals. It was also spotted that the game has a Nvidia DLSS graphics option, which will require a Nvidia GeForce graphics card. Settings apparently included things like shadows, lighting, ray tracing, as well as a "screen optimisations" toggle, all of which sounds pretty par for the course settings for a PC game. The video has been taken down now, but not before people could clock some of the settings in the video. Not the case for Returnal, as a brand new leak is here, shared via a YouTube video in an icon-era forum post (thanks, PCGamesN). ![]() There comes a point when something leaks so much that you'd assume an official reveal would just take place, regardless of the timeline. Another day, another leak that strongly suggests that Returnal is coming to PC, this time revealing the game's PC settings, and also confirming Nvidia DLSS support. ![]()
